Arcangelo Belli is born in Rome on October 19, 1933 and gets into the building construction world since very young working in his father’s company.
In 1961, once become the only manager of his family’s company at only 28 years old, he starts a radical changing process which makes the company expand beyond the national boundaries and towards others business fields, such as the financial one and the insurance one. From this big expansion, the “Habicos” holding comes to light, and it counts over 3000 employees.
In 1976 he becomes Vice-president and CEO of the “Sogene” Group, developing and starting a plan to recover the finances and restructure the organization of the famous Roman company.
Arcangelo Belli’s business is widely developed outside Italy too, thanks to the realization of important construction ventures among different European and (North and South) American countries.
His works are considered extremely significant to help promoting important places, such as the prestigious constructions in the Principality of Monaco. In the cities of Caracas e Puerto Ordaz, in Venezuela, his actions gave birth to a virtuous process for the valorization of the housing stock. On the other hand, in Brasil, the construction of over 40 buildings in Rio de Janeiro and San Paolo hugely helped the territorial development.
His work around the world contributed to the urban and economic development of many countries and to the creation of lots of jobs, accomplishments which made him receive several recognitions.
His business-related achievements and his efforts to boost the economic and the employment growth of his country earned him the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro, one of the Italian Republic’s biggest recognitions.
Precisely, Arcangelo Belli was given by the President of the Republic Sandro Pertini the honor of Cavaliere del Lavoro in 1979, at only 46 years old.
